Gunner is a very special boy to us here at TLR He was very mistreated in his previous life and it is our mission to make sure he has the very best life moving forward. Gunner is a 2 year old purebred Husky. His poor ears were chewed off by flies so we believe he s lived outdoors all his life. He s starved for attention and just wants to be with his people so he needs a home where someone is around a lot. True to the breed he has a touch of separation anxiety. Gunner is just starting to trust the world so he needs to go to a home with patience and steadfast training techniques. Gunner is dog friendly but still needs help understanding what s socially proper and is still learning his manners. He is not a good dog park candidate. Gunner was never given his monthly Heartworm prevention so he is Heartworm positive but The Last Resort will treat him until he comes back negative and we will cover this cost. Huskies are known to be escape artists so we are requiring a home with a 6 foot privacy fence for our sweet boy and we would prefer an adopter who understands the breed. Gunner just recently was brought to safety through TLR and we will update this information as we learn more about him going forward. Gunner is neutered and up to date on shots. He is currently in foster in NC. He can be transported to MD or NJ for an approved adopter. We know Gunner is absolutely stunning but please only apply if you re prepared to continue his rehabilitation with patience and diligence.
