You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.July 18 2016 -----Jace came to us from a sad situation where the prior owner could no longer care for her dogs. He is a really great boy and does great with kids cats and dogs. Upon bringing him into our rescue he was having severe issues with riding in the car. So bad that his temperature was going up as high as 107 degrees. He had to make a ER trip to the vets office while in route to us even while being transported to us. When he finally arrived at our vets he was put under anesthesia to be neutered and thats when they also discovered he had a few SEVERE abscessed teeth that had grown way up into his sinuses The vet had never seen anything like it. He had been in alot of pain for some time. So these really infected teeth were pulled. He was put on antibiotics and pain meds of course. But upon talking to the owner we learned that just a month prior to us getting him he was having seizures. Her vet recommended putting him on a anti seizure medication immediately. But upon discovering his severe abscessed and grossly infected teeth the vet is thinking his seizures might have been caused by the infections. So we will gradually and very slowly start to wean him off his seizure medication as our vet feels he will no longer need to be on them. Jace will not be ready for adoption for at least another 4-6 weeks as we need to continue to monitor him and make sure he is healthy before he is ready to be adopted.
