SAMMY (SRC1818) IN NC - Male Shih Tzu

I am micro-chipped have received a major dental am heart-worm Negative have all my vaccinations and already had been neutered. I will be evaluated for 2 weeks by my foster family who has gone through SRC s approval process although she immediately realized how sweet and intelligent I really am (SRC 1817) SAMMY s Story SAMMY with this unique identification number (SRC 1818) just came into our custody and care. Now vetted this dog will be prepared for adoption by a foster family who has gone thru our approval process . The Shih Tzus who came in with this recent group of rescues amazed me as the Director of this Rescue with their passive demeanors. I was fortunate enough to handle each one by picking them up bathing them all and getting them to the vet for their medical care. All of this breed were so passive and sweet -- they just let you do anything to them with no aggression whatsoever almost as if they had given up completely. Once they were vetted I found out more about why they seemed so very docile. Sammy (1818) is so adorable that his foster mom in Lenoir is already in love with him. Another one with Grade 4 Dental Disease this little boy needed pain meds even though he was already neutered. He was doing well with his foster mom but had a bout of tummy issues adjusting to real dog food. He loved it but obviously was not used to eating something with nutritional value because Sammy is overweight and according to the vet very prone to heat stroke until he loses a little bit of weight -- his home as were the others was outside in a very warm climate. His foster mom has changed his life completely now and Sammy is beginning to flourish because of this change. She is giving him loving care and it is obvious they are bonded already All these Shih Tzus along with Sammy have really earned their honorary Schnauzer status. Thankfully SAMMY (1818) was fortunate enough to be be rescued by SRC and at his age he can live a long healthy life now and a happy one This dear boy deserves that and much more When ready for adoption this dog will be heart-worm tested (negative) vaccinations brought up to date neutered if not done already micro-chipped examined fully by a vet and any necessary medical issues found by this vet will have been addressed. It is anticipated that this dog will be released for adoption by the same date as the completion of the Evaluation. The date of release is left to the discretion of the SRC Core Team.
