Eastwood had been spotted roaming in a field next to a busy highway for two weeks. Any attempts to catch him were futile. Finally after spending hours coaxing him and crawling to him on the ground one of our animal control officers was successful in rescuing Eastwood. This dog is a dear boy who has spent some time up in the front office with staff to him him develop trust in people and to gain confidence. It hasn t taken much to realize that this young boy is very lovable and so much more at ease now that he is in a safe place. Eastwood is gentle and somewhat reserved but non-reactive. He will come to you when you speak sweetly and he loves to give kisses. He would flourish in a foster home while he awaits adoption. Eastwood is about one year old and weighs 39 pounds.The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is 67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations mandatory spay neuter heartworm test and microchip.
