A volunteer writes Do you love low-riders A big fan of snortly sweethearts Is your ideal boyfriend small dark and roguishly handsome Then run don t walk to our Manhattan Care Center because there s a cute new piglet on the block who just might be your perfect match--meet Spumoni Named for an Italian ice cream he s a pretty tasty little guy himself and it s impossible to walk by his kennel without giving in to the temptation to take his pleading smushed-against-the-door face and wagging tail out for a walk. As of this writing Spumoni has just arrived so he s understandably feeling a bit stressed and unsure of himself pulling eagerly on leash panting strongly and following his nose this way and that as we toddle down the street. But never fear he s a well-mannered gentleman at heart and greets other dogs politely before taking care of all his business then moving on to his full-time job as a doggie detective. That adorable nose may be snubby but it works just fine and he thoroughly investigates everything from a discarded plastic bag (empty ) to the tantalizing scent of a passing pizza slice.
