Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday July 2nd and Sunday July 3rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed neutered shots current (DHPP Bordetella and Rabies where applicable) dewormed flea and tick treated and microchipped. If you are interested in a dog please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio ) and then go to our website -.---.- for an application. We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. We do not ship our dogs for any reason. Our adoption fee is 400 for each dog puppy. If it is on a weekend of our adoptions follow us on (at)DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted -.--XX.- DPSRescueThis dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday July 16th and Sunday July 17th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed. Lara is a 2 year old Cairn Terrier mix who we rescued off the meat trucks of Korea. She weighs about 8 lbs and is a petite little girl. Lara is a bit shy at first and will need a patient family who gives her time to warm up. Once she trusts you she will allow you to hold and cuddle her kiss and pet her. She s really a sweetheart Lara adores her foster brother (a 50 lb DPS alum ) and follows him everywhere. He taught her to use the doggie door She loves to play with him and would be best suited for a home where she can have a doggie playmate. She loves toys especially balls with squeakers and likes to play tug with her foster brother. He even lets her win sometimes ) Lara is crate trained. Her crate is her safe space and she goes there when she s ready for some quiet time. Her foster home has been working on potty training and they report that she is doing well Lara is an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 5 years. If there are children in the home they need be over the age of 10. We would love for Lara to go to a home with other dogs. Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it.
