Duke has been characterized as a young drop-dead gorgeous purebred Rottweiler with all the charm you could possibly dream about in a single attractive canine. He is neutered and up-to-date on his shots and loves people and attention. His previous ownewr must not have known what they were getting themselves into and had no experience with the breed how to train a dog or the willingness to get help. They dumped him out the pound to die. That was a very scary experience for him. He was not socialized properly either. He finds everything around himself fascinating like he has never seen the inside of a house or a back yard. If you have ever been to the top of a really tall building and you are afraid of heights you may be cautious approaching the edge to look over. Some people may even crawl to the edge. That is how Duke felt the first time walking out onto the back patio or into my house. He is just a baby still at 8 months old. He needs someone to work with him who has patience and it is probably best if you have no other dogs. Cats are unknown. He loves to climb in your lap like a baby and be held. I am going to assume that he is potty trained due to his age and the fact that he was very clean when we got him out of the shelter which normally indicates that the dog has lived inside. Due to some dog aggression that he displayed he is not allowed to walk around the house freely. He is not given any opportunities to have an accident in the house so it is kind of hard to tell if he is or not. He is crate trained walks pretty good on a prong collar super lovey dovey. He has shown zero aggression towards humans.Duke is looking for his forever home of course but also a foster home too. Its a great way for you to get to know Duke without making a commitment first.
