My name is Sadie and I am 5 years old and a whopping 11 lbs of cuddles kisses and love. I look like I could be a Papillion Chihuahua ( Papichi ) mix but since I was found as a stray wandering the streets of Chicago this is really just a guess. I am currently living in a foster home with awesome foster humans and a rather large cat who I get along great with. We will even share a lap at the same time with no problem. I haven t been around too many dogs yet but have gotten along well with the ones I have met at the park with no issues. My foster mom considers me the best cuddler in the world I love to nuzzle your neck and give lots of kisses. I currently am allowed to sleep in the bed under the covers cause that s where I feel most secure and I don t take up much space at all. When not cuddling I love to play fetch with my toys. My favorite is my pink crocodile (see my photo) that I try to take everywhere even on walks Even though I am in heaven cuddling I do have quite a bit of energy and can be just as playful as I am loving. I walk very nicely when I m wearing my harness and leash and I get to go on several walks a day. Overall I am a quiet girl and don t talk (bark) much except for alerting my foster family when someone comes to the door - so I am a good watchdog in that respect. It takes me a bit to warm up to someone new which they say is fairly typical of small breeds. But I do warm up pretty quickly and am never ever on the offensive. I have learned sit and my foster family has been training me not to beg at the dinner table so usually I just lay down by their feet and wait patiently until they are done. They have even taken me to a restaurant where pups can be outside with their people and I did great with that You should know I am a bit of a velcro dog when I am with my humans It could be because I was once abandoned and never want to be again or it could be in my DNA. My foster family feels that I should be adopted into a home where I m not left alone for long hours.
