Hi there My name s Leslie...what s yours I am a positively lovely girl... at least that s what my foster mom says. I am about 5 years old. 3 of those 5 years I was living at a dog sanctuary in an outdoor dog pen24 7 with another doggie friend of mine. Recently through a curious set of circumstances and fate I got rescued by Freedom Collie Rescue. I know I know. I don t look like a typical Collie but they saw pictures of me fell in love with my face and felt compelled to help me. Guess what though Apparently I look exactly like a Black & Tan English Shepherd which it turns out is an extremely versatile breed of the working dog of the collie lineage (my foster mom read that on Wikipedia...whatever THAT is) so it truly was fate that a collie rescue rescued me Since I ve been rescued my life has been an adventure and I m learning so many things every day My foster family which includes 2 human teenaged sisters a Golden Retriever furbrother and my foster mom & dad all agree that I m one smart & well-behaved cookie. I have decided indoor living is the bomb I like exploring the house every day especially if I hear or smell something new. I ve learned that potty breaks should only happen outside (oopsie ). I m not crazy about baths (I ve had waaaay too many baths since I ve been rescued... you humans seem to love baths...so weird) and I don t like car rides but will sit quietly if I must go on a ride. I am learning leash manners and think that walks are pretty awesome...there s so many sights and sounds and smells I could probably explore all day but always glad to be back home I have learned sit down no but my favorite words are good girl I love when my foster mom says that she says that I look like I m smiling when she says that to me and gives me a treat. I don t bark - AT ALL. I m not destructive and don t touch things I m not supposed to...well except for that one time I picked out the oldest book on the book shelf & walked around with it - turns out the book was my foster mom s great grandfather s book a book about hypnotism - I thought it would be a good idea to learn in case I need to hypnotise my future family and convince them to adopt me My foster mom said no need that my animal magnetism quotient is high all her friends and family that have met me have fallen in love with my sweet and gentle nature. I am a little reserved around new people especially men but if you give me a few minutes to check you out I will warm up to you quickly. I LOVE my teenaged human siblings. LOVE them. I haven t met any baby-sized humans but my foster mom thinks I d probably do just fine with them too. I would love a family that has another furbaby that could become my friend (I m more of a beta dog so a friendly alpha fur-sibling would be just fine for me) or a family with active humans that would like to run play and teach me tricks games like fetch etc. So How about it Are you my happily ever after family I can t wait to meet you Apply at -.------X.-Leslie English Shepherd & English Shepherd Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange....
