She is about 4 months old and weighs 35ish pounds Baby Bea is a special needs dog. She was surrendered to our rescue and we just fell for this goofball of a dog She has Spina Bifida and will be dealing with this for the rest of her life. Bea is a wonderful pup She is very playful and goofy She loves to run and play in the yard and LOVES to wrestle with other dogs She is leash trained and crate trained but we normally gate her in our kitchen when we are not home and at night. Bea is good in the car and is always up for a car ride She loves people and is very friendly She is good with kids but they should be sturdy because she likes to play. Bea is great with other dogs and they too should be sturdy if you are looking for a playmate She respects the tiny ones that say no to play too Baby Bea has Spina Bifida and it is a condition that has no cure. It is a birth defect involving the abnormal development of the spine. She is mobile - very But she has ataxia (lack of coordination) and a bit of rear limb paresis (weakness). She has both urinary and fecal incontinence and will have this for the rest of her life. She will have to wear a diaper for the rest of her life too. She is very good about it though since she has been in one since we got her Because of this she will need extra commitment from her new family. She will need a grain-free diet to keep her poop formed diapers lots of time outdoors to run play and air out and a kind patient understanding owner Please research Spina Bifida in dogs what it entails and how to deal with the symptoms easier.
