We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog. Simba has a story not uncommon sadly. He was bought as a small little snowball puppy full of hope and sweetness by a unmarried couple. There he found HOME a family people he knew and trusted. He was their special one. They doted on them and he on them. When the couple broke up the boyfriend gave the dog to a farm worker. The farmer worker had him tied to a tree outside as he did not believe in dogs coming into the house. There he withered emotionally and felt sad and lonely for his real family. Day after day he sat waiting for his family through rain heat being fed scrapes. Finally one day he pupped out of his collar and went looking for himself. Found as a stray he was sent to the shelter. Old owner was contacted (chip) and the story unfolded. But no one wanted him back. By now he was shut down emotionally full of weeds dirt and his once beautiful coat was matted and left in ruin. On the rescue euthanasia list he was sent to us and we just love him. We had to shave him down but his coat is thick and I am sure will grow back quickly. Simba has now come out of his shell He is super friendly and social. Loves attention he loves to be in your lap (but hardly fits ) He is playful and so so loving. Great family dog He is calm in the house but loves walks around the neighborhood or romps in the back yard. Adoption is 400.00 which supports all the dogs in the rescue program and helps provide the weekly food and medical they need provides for his neuter shots rabies heartworm test bordetella drontal for parasite treatment and a chip.
