You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Annie is a Husky mix. She s a sweet little girl who loves to snuggle and play. She is full of puppy exuberance and needs to continue to work on her manners. She s a fast learner. It only took 5 minutes to teach her sit and lie down. She loves to play with toys but she s still a puppy who will create her own toys if none are available. She likes to steal shoes. She doesn t chew them. She just carries them around like they re her prized possession. She is shy around new people initially but warms up once she gets to know them. She does best with calm slow introductions. She would do best in a home without children or with older children. Small kids make her nervous because they are too hyper and excited when meeting her. Annie does not like meeting new neighbors. She will bark like crazy when she sees them through the fence. Slow introductions with plenty of treats are helping her learn my neighbors aren t so scary after all. Annie loves other dogs and has gotten along well with all the dogs big and small that she s met since she came to rescue. She hasn t met any cats since she has been in her foster home so I don t know if she would be OK with them or not. She is protective of her food around other dogs but is fine if a human takes her bowl away. She is not possessive of her toys. Annie is mostly potty trained. She had a few accidents in the 1st few days at her foster home because she is still learning how to tell you when she needs to go out. She is crate trained. She will bark or howl to get out when you put her in it but quiets down after a few minutes. She is still learning how to walk on a leash. She doesn t pull hard but she likes to zig-zag all over to check out all the exciting new smells everywhere. Her ideal family would be an active family with another dog or two to play with and keep her company while the family is away.
