Butters came from Inyo County through our Pet Partnership Program. We know nothing of his backstory but most likely he was a stray or street dog. He is not familiar with toys and he does sometimes startle at sudden noises or movements. He recovers quickly and moves on to other things.Butters has a great dog social skills. He reads the body language of dogs he meets and adjusts him behavior and play style accordingly. He might very well enjoy a canine companion in his new home.Butters is a good size not too big and not too small. He is a happy dog and curious about his surroundings. He also likes people and although not a lap dog he does like to give kisses. We encourage enrolling him in a family dog training class for some basic training. Training is a way to bond with your dog as well as open the doors of communication. First-time adopters who have an interest in making a dog an integral part of the family would do well to take a look at Butters. He is a fun dog and will make a great companion.
