Swift is a white homing pigeon (the type used for dove releases ) who got into trouble somehow and was lucky to wind up in the SF animal shelter. She was there from 4 7 until we were finally able to squeeze her into our foster care on 8 9. She was very happy to get out of the shelter Once in the foster avairy she was able to reconnect with a friend she had made in the shelter cage next door to her- Honor and soon after they got married.
