Clark - Male Pomeranian Mix

Came to COPR from KY. In foster care in London OH. He is happiest when he is on your lap getting belly rubs. Clark is house trained crate trained and leash trained. He loves everyone he meets and wags his tail constantly. He is a very affectionate dog that loves attention He is laid back when it comes to other dogs and will even let the other dog in his foster home take toys out of his mouth. He does require an experienced owner that understands Clark s protective nature inside the house when it comes to his favorite human. Clark had a rough life prior to being in his foster home. When he came to the shelter we pulled him from he was heartworm positive infested with fleas anemic and had intestinal worms bronchitis and a tick borne disease. While undergoing treatment for all of these issues he spent some time at Medvet for what they thought was pneumonia but it was later discovered that he had a mass in his chest pushing on one of his lungs. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters he was able to have surgery to have the benign mass removed. Now that he is feeling much better after all of these things have been taken care of he loves to play with toys and run around. He still coughs some because of a collapsed trachea but it is rare compared to before when the mass was pushing on his lung.
