Lucas - Male American Pit Bull Terrier

We have had a great deal of interest in this awesome boy but I want to clarify a little further the criteria we have for his placement because I hate it when I have to disappoint people who really love him but don t have the right situation for him. Lucas will need a home with no cats bunnies or other tiny non-dog animals running around. Lucas cannot be around horses or cattle so a farm situation will not work. We will require he have a secure fenced yard and that he cannot climb over it. Finally we likely will only adopt to a family that owns their home. Too often in a rental situation when a family is displaced from a rental unit they have difficulty finding another rental where they can have dogs especially dogs that look like Lucas . With all that said Lucas is one of my favorite all time fosters He is very obedient knows basic commands walks great on leash likes other dogs and loves children. He would make a great walking hiking (on leash) or running partner and he is not a dog that should be left out in the yard. He wants to be a member of the family and to be inside with his people He has gained a great deal of weight after being nearly starved to death as a stray in California.
