BIG FAN OF Being outside and playing with her family and her toys. NOT A FAN OF Strangers. Once she gets to know her people she bonds very closely but new people and men in particular can scare her to begin with. She s also not a fan of being alone for long periods of time so she would be best with a family who is home a lot or one with another dog to keep her company. SPECIAL FEATURES Cocoa is very smart and already knows sit stay come lay down shake high-5 high-10 and kennel -- wow She loves having a spot that she can claim as her own but she enjoys being outside with her family whenever she can. She can be very active and a very silly player during the day but is happy to curl up on the couch with you at night. Her leash-walking is improving with a harness and she now knows the command no pull. She will love to go on outings and really be part of the family. OTHER REASONS SHE S SPECIAL CoCo will need to be supervised when outside. She has been known to jump a 6-foot fence when left alone. She also does not do well when kenneled indoors but she has done very well when she has free-roam of the house. DREAM HOME A quieter more predictable home with an active family she can cuddle and play with. She has done well with cats and may also love a dog friend. Kids can be too much for her right now so she needs a teens and up home.This dog is participating in our Shelter Dog Getaway program -- a program designed to give dogs a vacation from the shelter and let them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted.
