This poor girl was found in a small rural town as a stray. She was covered head to toe in used motor oil and was literally baking under the hot sun (it s an old wives tale that used motor oil can be used to treat mange and fleas). Sabrina was so terrified when she was picked up that shelter staff assumed she was feral and slated her for euthanasia. Thankfully a long-time Family Dog volunteer saw her story and networked her to us. When we saw her horrific photos we knew we had to help this sweet girl. After several warm baths lots of yummy food and lots of love Sabrina is finally coming around and showing us her loving nature. She is currently living in foster care with other dogs and children. Sabrina has come such a long way but she can still be extremely afraid of people especially men. At this time Sabrina can not live with any men. She is just too frightened to be around them. She can live with children over 12 years old but they must be dog-savvy. She should not live with cats. Due to her traumatic past Sabrina needs a highly experienced adopter who can help her feel safe and secure.
