Hi My name is Jolene and I am only 1 years old. I am a Feist Terrier mix. Life is good now but once it wasn t. It s hard to believe that only a few weeks ago I found myself in a rural shelter struggling to survive and care for my newborn puppy girl Jolie. I am just a puppy myself. The shelter s a scary place and I was so worried for my little girl. I am so grateful to IAR for helping get us out of there A huge weight has been lifted and for the first time ever I can relax and not be scared. I never knew how wonderful life could be or what it was like to be a puppy. I can enjoy the warmth of sunshine on my face the cool summer grass on my belly to have a warm soft bed at night a hug or snuggle a romp around the yard or a leisurely walk. My foster mom says I am the most grateful dog she has ever known and my enthusiasm for life and my joy is contagious. She calls me Wiggle Butt because I am always so happy to be around people and my whole body wiggles with delight. Her favorite thing about me is when I am really excited I get happy feet and do a diminutive little happy dance with my white paws that look like dance shoes. She thinks it is the cutest thing. I try so hard to be a good girl and I want to please everyone I meet. I am very affectionate and enjoy cuddling but I am just as comfortable relaxing next to you or exploring playing and having fun. I am just so relieved and happy to have a second chance in life. My foster mom says I am a very special girl and I am a treasure in this world. I have so much heart and spirit that I will do silly things that will make you smile and laugh. I am house trained and am not food aggressive. When I eat my food I eat it daintily like a little lady. I love playing with the big dogs here. I ve been around some kids at some events but haven t been around cats yet.
