One look at Jack and you can see he hasn t had an easy life. How did he manage to lose one eye He isn t saying but I ll bet it s a good story. He was a stray in Solano County before he came to MHS and it can t be easy to be a small dog alone in such a big world. And yet he has retained his love of life and friendly demeanor.He isn t interested in being a lap dog but he will come by for attention and affection. He really likes chasing after soft squeaky toys and is quite a vision trotting across the room with a big one in his mouth. He might like a game of fetch but he needs you to teach him how to play.Possibly because he has had practice fending for himself he is rather pushy when he meets new dogs. He approaches head on which some dogs find intimidating. With large dogs he might give a quick sniff and then bark at them to get away. He was easier with smaller dogs but they often found him too pushy. Matched with a good partner his own size he would probably have a lot of fun.Jack needs a turn being coddled and cared for.
