He is bigger than Syrian hamsters with short hairs so a larger space is needed. He is healthy as his cage gets clean weekly and have a healthy diet of pellets mixed with small amounts of fresh fruits vegetable. Interesting facts Teddy Bear hamsters are actually the largest variety of hamster they are Syrian hamsters with long hair. As they age adult Teddy Bear hamsters do not get along together so they are best as the one and only hamster in a cage.
