Experience Bookkeeper for Chicago Accounting Firm We re growing Accounting Solutions is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to provide a broad range of bookkeeping services to privately held businesses and individuals. Applicants should be experienced in using QuickBooks. Further experience with ProSeries Tax Software and Excel is a plus.Bookkeeper Responsibilities Knowledge of QuickBooks and QuickBooks features QuickBooks set up for new clients Proficient in bank and credit card account reconciliations Solid background in payroll Prepare payroll tax returns W-2 s & W-3 s Prepare 1099 s & 1098 s Communicate problems with managers Organization & preparation for taxation audits Analyze Balance Sheet reasonableness and point out deficiencies to managers Basic load-in capabilities for business income tax return preparationBookkeeping Skills Required The ability to categorize organized client data The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with clients co-workers and other professionals The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines Attention to detail and thoroughness A strong commitment to the professionJob Requirements 5 years or more in bookkeeping accounting experience Basic understanding of Balance Sheet Profit and Loss Statements and accrual versus cash basis accounting Knowledge of Business Tax Return set-up and preparation. 3 years experience.Salary commensurate with experience.
