As a growing childcare facility we are constantly on the lookout for talented passionate people to volunteer their time and talents. Are you ready to share your talents in Fine Arts sign language tumbling or simply teaching children the basics of a foreign language Maybe it s time to start in a new volunteer path with Carrie s Colorful Garden. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED CDA (Child Development Associate) or working towards a CDA Associates or BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area 2 years Early childhood education experience at least 1 year working with a specific age group desirable Other Requirements Ability to work Full Time Part Time Floater or Substitute CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Bilingual applicants HIGHLY encouraged Background Check and TB Skin Test required Job Description Be passionate and dedicated to developing the whole child by engaging in interactive and fun activities Work with classroom staff to plan and implement the daily program of activities based on principles of child s individual development Set up and maintain a well-organized safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children. Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self- esteem and self-discipline. Observe each child daily to assess skills interests and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth. Establish a positive relationship with each child s family and share information about the child s day at the Center.
