Alabama Louella - Female Beagle Mix

Hi all My name is Alabama Louella and I ve got to be the sweetest little beagle in the South. I m 13 years old but I ve still got a lot of pep in my step and a nose for adventure My favorite activities are thoroughly sniffing my surroundings rolling in the grass and looking for pieces of hot dog in my treat ball. I m shy at first but I warm up to people and other dogs. I m calm and I don t bark (but I do snore ). I m looking for a home to spend my golden years the fun way. When I first came to the shelter I was in rough shape. I had several masses that needed to be surgically removed and the vets found out that I also had a couple of bacterial infections caused by ticks. After a couple months of TLC I m feeling wonderful.I ve been living the good life in foster care with my amazing foster mom. Here are some notes that she wanted me to pass along to you... Alabama is a loving little cutie She likes people and she ll follow you around and sleep on your feet. She loves the garden and a nice walk and she s a big sniffer. I can t tell if she s happiest outside or with a treat. She was a picky eater at first but she s graduated to the bowl after eating out of my hand. She is enthusiastic about going out for walks and keeps a pretty brisk pace for an old lady Her bed is in the living room because of the snoring but she s a good girl and never gets up to shenanigans after she s tucked in.
