In addition KapStone offers a comprehensive benefits package including health dental and vision plans retirement an employee assistance program holidays and vacation. < b> Don t let the distance deter you as relocation assistance is available. < b> As a Journeyman A Millwright you will (among other things) Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines policies and procedures and actively participate in safety program. Execute a variety of maintenance related tasks in connection with the maintenance repair and or improvement to equipment related to pulp and paper manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical pneumatic hydraulic steam and vacuum systems. Have a working knowledge of fabrication pumping systems gearboxes sprockets couplings seals lubrication agitators fans conveyors belt and chain drives precision alignment bearings etc. Be able to read technical drawings and manuals to determine work procedures to assemble dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment using hand and power tools. Install maintain troubleshoot and repair equipment for improved reliability and uptime Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and carry out predictive maintenance requirements. Work with a wide variety of precision tools such as veneer calipers micrometers dial indicators levels gauge blocks and optical and laser alignment tooling. Work with other departments in the planning of and installation of new equipment and system upgrades. Perform the duties of a welder such as torch cutting arc welding mig welding tig welding plasma cutting etc. Job Qualifications Must have at least 3 years experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment as a Journeyman level Millwright. Must have expanded skills including but not limited to welding pipe soft-patching installation and removal of screwed and flanged piping plastic and metal tubing hoses such as found in lubrication systems hydraulic systems etc. Must have understanding of valve selection and replacement and vibration analysis fundamentals. Basic knowledge and experience in computer usage including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). High School Diploma or G.E.D.
