Hi there My name is Gideon. I m a special girl here at the shelter. When I first came in I did not like it here at all. I was so scared and nervous of people that I could barely be touched Some very lovely ladies worked with me for weeks on end showing me what love and affection was really about. I had made so much progress with my behavior that I got to live in the shelter vets office and hang out with her and the technicians for a few weeks Lately I ve started allowing my new friends to hold me and snuggle me. I m still a little nervous about it but I actually really like being held. Shh Don t tell Don t let my permanent grump face dissuade you from getting to know me I promise I m worth it. I think I am ready to move on to a new home now. My new family should know that I may revert to some of my previous nervous behavior when I first arrive in my new home but with time patience and love I will overcome my fears and become your best friend. Please ask a staff member how to acclimate me to your home they would be so excited to help me adjust with my forever family I have officially been at the shelter for over a year now...
