Meet Monkey. His name came before we knew that the Chinese calendar designated this year to be the year of the monkey. We are hoping this will bring him extra luck in the search for a forever home because this guy deserves nothing but the best. Monkey is a 6-month-old German shepherd pit mixture who already weighs about 40lbs. He will probably be a pretty big boy (60lbs adult). He is so wonderful and smart and please don t overlook his cuteness. He didn t love getting his picture taken but we promise that he is the ultimate in adorableness.Monkey loves to romp around the yard and play with his foster siblings. In fact we will give preference to adopters with another dog who will love Monkey as playmate and who have a fenced back yard to keep him safely contained. Monkey is very snuggly and gentle and would do fine in a home with children.We also think he would be fine with cats. He has nice social skills and good housemanners. At most he might chase a cat enough to catch it and lick it....
