Bachelor s Degree Performs history and physicals on all operative and non-operative surgical admissions initiates general work-ups. Manages the in-house surgical patient ordering appropriate diagnostic testing and facilitating daily progression of action toward discharge as appropriate. Performs minor procedures such as central line and chest tube placement. Evaluates patient cases pre-operatively ordering and interpreting appropriate testing in order to optimize patients for the surgical experience. Serves as first assistant on all procedures assigned which generally includes general vascular neuro orthopedic thoracic urology and ob gyn.
