Automotive Aftermarket Technical Engineering

Aftermarket Technician Individual will assist with all testing aspects of design and engineering of the product including technical specification and design standards. Answerman duties i.e. assist callers for frequently asked questions regarding catalog installation and troubleshooting all application questions. Data collection preparation and reporting of component and Readymount spec outs. Responsible for receiving material and logging all packages inform recipients of packages. Assembly disassembly and analyzing of prototype units for fit & rides and testing. Perform vehicle fit & ride including shock strut Readymount replacement and vehicle maintenance on all application vehicles. Insures the satisfactory functioning of all equipment through regular checks and services Keeps the workplace in compliance with all safety rules and regulations. Education Experience Bachelors Degree in Engineering 2 years automotive related experience with a Tier 1 supplier and with test & development work Knowledge of chassis component design Hands on vehicle development and or testing experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint Understanding of damper tuning and benchmarking.
