King Carneau pigeon Rose (shown here on the right with her mate Jose in the background) is one of 13 birds that were somehow rescued (details unknown) from being butchered as poultry and surrendered to MickaCoo on 3 14 to find a safe home and live a good life. Rose & Jose were either bonded before or struck up a relationship once here and are now a mated pair. Both are high-spirited and seem to prefer aviary life to that of being pets. They are fostered at Andy s (100% Rescue) Pet Shop in San Jose and you can meet them and their friends there.
