Our decision to accept Eden and Esther into care was because we believed that we could improve their quality of life for whatever time they have left.We ve observed many small but significant changes with Eden and Esther. Adapting their cages for their handicaps has enabled them to move around with greater ease. We started them on arthritis pain management and have seen improved mobility. Both have gained and are maintaining their weight. Soft wood leather and rope toys have been successfully taken apart and shredded a good sign. We cannot say how long these two cockatoos have ahead of them based on their old histories but they are safe in our care for whatever time they have left and they will suffer no more. They have no say in how their care is provided but we do. Your support helps us to keep this promise.Esther has warmed up visitors and our staff. You can visit her at our Denver location.She enjoys her showers and is housed next to her friend and previous cagemate Eden. She continues to come out of her shell.
