Regis is a young energetic and outgoing Blue and Gold Macaw whose antics never cease to amaze those who know him. In his two years with TGF Regis has developed quite a vocabulary. His favorite phrases to say are come here step-up and hi baby. He also enjoys playing games with visitors and his favorite game is peek-a-boo. He will hide his head behind something in his cage and then pop his head out and say peek-a-boo Regis gets along with other macaws when he goes out in the flights but is also content to play by himself. He needs a large cage and lots of toys to keep him busy throughout the day. Regis wonderful personality and charming behavior give no hint of the life he had before TGF. Regis journey to TGF made big news in CO. He was a victim along with 4 other parrots in a cruel child and animal abuse and neglect case. All birds and ducks came to us the dogs went to a county shelter the children are in foster care and the mother is in prison for the rest of her life.
