Female Shepherd mixture 1 yr-old 40 - 45 pounds. fully vetted spayed HW Negative.Dakota is a Special Needs dog because she is very timid despite the fact she has been a HART dog for nearly a year-and-a-half. She and her 4 sisters were picked up as semi-feral strays on the first of September 2013 and it was obvious they had experienced little human interaction. It has taken Dakota more time than all of her sisters to fully socialize so she has yet to be placed in a permanent home.In mid-May of 2014 a adorable family with 2 pre-teen girls offered to foster Dakota and she has made tremendous progress since. Her foster Mom has nothing but good things to say about Dakota She is a very easy dog to care for gets along really well with other dogs -- often even playful with them walks well on a leash and is least timid when playing outdoors. She also said Dakota is doing well learning basic commands and always comes immediately when she is called....
