Darla came in Thursday. She was an emergency transport because she had a prolapsed uterus. That means her uterus is actually falling outside of her.Just spoke to the vet. Surgery went well but it was NOT easy.Once she was under anesthesia her blood pressure crashed - a reaction to all of the stress for the last week. The vet inserted an emergency catheter and although her blood pressure remained really low she stabilized enough to complete the surgery.The surgery was a difficult one due to the length of time her uterus was out. Due to the difficulty the vet is requesting that she stay over night sedated and monitored to make sure her uterus does not pop back out (yes that can happen).Thank you everyone for your support. We will stop by and see her tonight and post more photos then. We are not out of the woods yet but at least her insides are back inside where they should be It is definitely expensive to get her healthy and back to where she needs to be for adoption.
