Zuri is in no pain does not require any special care or medication and has a normal life expectancy. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a noncontagious disorder where the cerebellum of the brain has not fully formed at birth. The cerebellum plays an important role in motor control so some common symptoms are jerky movements tremors wobbly uncoordinated walking and head bobbing. It is just like ataxic cerebral palsy in humans. CH does not get better or worse with age. CH kitties are AMAZING They are fun hilarious and love life all the same despite their disability if you can even call it that CH cats are born with it so they learn to compensate and adapt as kittens. Zuri is a high functioning CH cat so she gets around fine but does walk a little funny and cannot jump very well. She cannot jump up onto things and her motions resemble that of a baby kangaroo crossed with a gecko more than that of a cat. It is super cute She hops around on all fours sometimes when she is really excited especially when she has just left the litter box. She is a lot like Charley the CH cat in the video above.This angel has been raised in a foster home since she was a kitten and has been loved every single day of her life. CH cats should NOT be allowed outside as they cannot defend themselves against predators. They are INDOOR ONLY Zuri s foster mom describes her as sweet stumbly and adorable. Zuri is very affectionate and is almost always happy to cuddle. When she isn t sleeping on her foster mom she is curled up in her comfy cat bed. If Zuri could have it her way this girl would sit on the couch with her human snuggled close all day long. Zuri loves to be brushed and she loves to be pet. She doesn t mind her nails getting trimmed but isn t so good about having her teeth brushed.Zuri likes and gets along with small and medium dogs and has lived with them. She does not do well around other cats as normal cats don t know what to do around CH cats and often pick on them. She could get along with another friendly laid-back adult cat though.Zuri is spayed and vaccinated. She is also microchipped. Zuri comes with a lot of freebies Her foster mom wants to see it go with Zuri because she wants her new home to be just as awesome as where she is coming from and it will help her to have familiar things around in a new environment. Zuri has her favourite bed her igloo covered dome litter box (which reduces tracked litter through your house) 30lbs of litter and 30lbs of Acana grain-free food. Her foster mom says It will be very sad to see Zuri move on but originally she was a foster because I knew eventually I wouldn t have the time to dedicate to this very loving cat with my career getting to be as busy as it as gotten and now that that time has come I m just happy we had so many lovely years together.
