Behavior Therapist - Level III - Compensation: Varies

Behavior Therapist-Level III (Lansing) The Behavior Therapist--Level III will report to the Residential Options Inc. (ROI) Executive Director and Associate Director. He or she will work directly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families providing multidisciplinary child and family assessments and interventions. Therapy will be done in structured one-on-one sessions as well as group settings to provide and implement ABA-therapy-based programs. These programs will be implemented in both the ROI Learning Center and the child s home. This position requires a BCBA certification. TYPICAL DUTIES 1. Completing behavioral assessments which includes identifying defining and determining the function of challenging behaviors and developing treatment plans to reduce behaviors. 2. Developing skill acquisition programs to increases adaptive skills and individual s ability to become more independent. 3. Providing training and support to parents and siblings. 4. Providing training and support to employees working in the ROI Learning Center or in family homes. 5. Facilitating coordination of services between families schools and other service providers. 6. Maintaining clinical data and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions on an ongoing basis. 7. Conducting training programs designed to improve the skills of employees and family members. QUALIFICATIONS Master of Arts in Psychology concentration in Behavior Analysis or other degree in a related field AND a BCBA certification.
