Sweet Duke. He was alone FOR A YEAR in his empty house. When he came to us he was so covered in fleas it was a wonder he had enough blood left in him to stand up. That s where he got the sores on his nose - his little head was black with flea dirt. But the fleas are long gone now and he s healing up very nicely In fact Duke s heart is healing up very nicely too Oh yes he still hides especially when strangers come into his room. But now he comes out and enjoys being petted and touched. And he s SO SWEET He s just a little love of a guy.Duke will probably need some time to adjust to a new home. Sometimes he falls into old habits and slinks close to the floor like he s trying to stay small and unseen - almost like he got so used to moving that way he has to remember to walk like a normal cat. We want a home for him that is so full of love he ll learn to walk with his tail high out in the open just like a loved and happy cat So if you know of anyone who has a patient and loving home for a shy declawed cat who lived all alone in an empty house for a whole year won t you please send them Duke s way Duke has been vaccinated wormed spayed neutered and tested negative for FELV FIV which is all included in the 60 adoption fee.
