WE CANNOT RESPOND TO GENERAL INQUIRES ABOUT A DOG WITHOUT AN APPLICATION ON FILE. This cute as a button itty bitty Siberian Husky is named Parker. Parker came to us from a terrible situation. A gentleman brought him into an Animal Control in Fayette County Georgia claiming he found him. Parker was in bad shape he was half the size he should have been his coat and skin were a mess and he was very wobbly on his feet. The shelter vet assessed him and determined it s most likely Parker had been kept in a cage all his life and barely fed and the food he was given did not have any nutritional value. This attributes to his size (28lbs) and his horrible skin. His wobbliness is due to muscles that hadn t been used or exercised in quite some time. We had to help him His condition was so bad they opened an animal cruelty case but could not find the home he came from. It was touch and go for a while Parker was very sick. He contracted a bad upper respiratory infection in the shelter because he was already so compromised. Fast forward a month later and he s begun to make great improvements. While we don t expect him to grow taller he definitely needs to put on weight and has already gained a few pounds. His skin has healed and his coat is beginning to grow and he s no longer wobbly on his feet. In fact he s found his puppy legs and loves to run. Parker is house broken and will even tell you when he needs to potty. We have not started crate training him and as long as things are out of his reach and he has things to do he s not been destructive in the house. Parker has already had to survive on his own so we will only be screening applications for families who don t have to leave him alone for long periods of time. Applicants also need to have a securely fenced yard that has room to run. This is a sweet sweet boy who deserves a family of his own. No young children or overly active households please. Parker is good with the dogs he s met as the dog park but isn t currently living or sharing space with any. He s already begun to trust his foster dad and loves affection and snuggles on the couch. Parker is approximately 8-10 months old. He is vaccinated neutered and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is 400.
