Dailea - Female Jersey Wooly

Dailea is a Jersey Wooly who we believe is about 3 years old. She was rescued 2 years ago when it was discovered she was living outside on her own. She has been with her rescuers for the last 2 years. The family had her spayed and integrated her into their already existing bunny warren. However that bond did not work out well. Two of the other bunnies began picking on her and she was removed from the group. Since then she has become depressed and has even bitten her humans a few times. She is not an aggressive rabbit she is just displeased with being removed from the other bunnies. Because of space issues and the extra time it takes with having two sets of rabbits her family has made the difficult decision to place Dailea up for adoption. Dailea is now looking for a new home where she can get all of the love and attention she needs. She is a timid bunny and it takes a while for her to warm up to people. But once she feels comfortable and safe she is a very loving bunny. She loves to groom her people and can be found running toward the kitchen when she hears the fridge door open. She responds very well to her name and is quite intelligent. She would be an excellent candidate for clicker training. Her litter box habits were much better when she was a single bunny. As part of a warren she did quite a bit of territorial marking. She also is an obsessive groomer and barbered the other bunnies fur. She may make a good candidate to bond with a senior buck who needs help keeping clean. She keeps her cage quite tidy never tipping her water bowl or scattering hay. Dailea is skittish around children and is more responsive to adult handlers. She has long hair that will need regular brushing and can even be spun. She loves cardboard boxes to hide in and chew. She also loves blankets to dig rearrange over and over and sleep on. She does not chew them Dailea does not enjoy being held. She would rather spend her time hiding under the couch and come out occasionally to lick your ankles. She does accept petting and will come when called if she thinks it means a treat Her favorite foods are cilantro and parsley. She likes most treats such as bananas blueberries pomegranates. But she isn t too fond of cucumbers. Dailea is never going to be a super outgoing snuggly type of bunny. But if you are okay with that and can accept her on her terms then she may be the bunny for you.... More Info
