Angels Among Us Animal Rescue announces a new Angel Meet Gillis This guy was found wandering as a stray in the Memphis area as a 6 month old pup. He has been in rescue most of his young life and is now 2 years old. We think he was born in early November 2013. He is an all black lab and possibly boxer mix. He has an adorable small under bite. Gillis is on the short side ( 21 tall) and only about 35 pounds. He does great with dogs about his size or smaller but warms up to larger dogs after a little bit. He is fine with cats and kids too Gillis is both house and crate trained and loves his crate. When not in a relaxing mode Gillis loves to play play play and would be best suited for an adopter who enjoys the outdoors and can provide adequate exercise for this high energy boy. He is healthy and would love his own family. It is time for Gillis to find his forever family and leave rescue. As much as we love him he deserves one-on- one love and attention Please note that it may take a few days for him to settle into his new home and he will need a patient adopter. Patience that will be rewarded ten-fold Gillis has already been transported north to New England for adoption from TN. His adoption donation is 300 which includes a health certificate transport north and a micro chip. Unless stated otherwise all dogs will be spayed or neutered on flea tick product and heart worm prevention medicine (if older than 5 months) and micro chipped prior to adoption. Thank you Effective April 17 2015 a Quarantine Fee of 75 will be required (in addition to the adoption fee) to adopt a dog that has been Quarantined in MA. These states mandate that all dogs entering MA shall be quarantined for 48 hours in a state approved facility. The quarantine fee shall be paid by the adopter either directly to the Quarantine Facility or to Angels Among Us Animal Rescue depending on whether you pick your dog up at the Quarantine Facility or through a MA foster family.
