She will chew-through wooden toys balls large beads... good for her beak and it is sometimes a stress reliever though she doesn t do this very often. Vocabulary HelloHello BabyHow Ya Doin Hello Sylvester (sometimes only Hello Syl or Hello Syl-ve. ) Mmm-Hmm(as-in this oatmeal-walnut cookie sure tastes good Sylvester acknowledges good and unusual food.) C mere (come here) WaWa WaWaWa WaWaWaWaWa (the a pronounced as in ant. ) Sometimes she makes a low-pitched rapid clicking sound.Bye-ByemmmBye-ByeNormal Macaw noises and various random assorted noises. Sometimes she sings-along with the vacuum cleaner or the piano. Radio Sylvester has listened almost exclusively to classical music on WRR 101.1 FM for at least 21 years. Small Brooms Sylvester is not a fan of small broomsbut she doesn t seem to mind regular brooms.Shoulder-perching Say C mere or let s go walking let s go for a walk then usually extend your right elbow to her left foot she will perch on your arm or walk-up on to your shoulder. Be aware that she might playfully but aggressively peck at your ear without really biting especially if you re headed some place she doesn t want to go. A strong NO usually stops this. She will perch on the edge of the kitchen sink and watch the water run. She walks-around on the floor sometimes.She loves to be outside on his perch with food and water but not in direct sunlight for long periods. Tug-o -War Sylvester likes to play tug-o -war with a newspaper folded lengthwise (so she can latch-on good with her beak poked-through the paper.) Pull it back-and-forth let her try to shake it out of your hand etc. She also likes to be petted with the newspaper she will flip upside-down so you can pet her with the paper on her chest stomach and tail feathers.Her love-interest... is the football peanut-shaped open-lattice-rubber object hanging in her cage.Shower Bath Lightly spray her with water but avoid spraying water directly into her nostrils and eyes. Sometimes create a mist around her rather than spraying directly on her (which she needs from time-to-time though.)Sylvester mainly poops in only two areas to the front-left and to the right-rear outside of her cage.
