Oboe (Neutered) - Update - Male Pit Bull Terrier Mix

Oboe is a magnificent 8-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered by his owner on February 9 2015. This handsome big guy has a chocolate brown short smooth coat with white highlights on his chest a long tail and a noble-looking face with a dusting of white on his muzzle a liver-colored nose and semi-erect ears. Oboe has been in our shelter with over a year now and he longs for a real home with a family of his very own. Our kennel techs dearly love Oboe but shelter life is no substitute for a loving home environment ( We know there is the perfect home for him if we can just find it.. Oboe usually gets along ok with other dogs if introduced slowly but he does NOT like cats and does NOT do well with children. His previous owner provided a detailed two-page document about Oboe (which includes hands voice commands that he recognizes vocabulary words that he knows and some of his fears .. windshield wipers beeping sounds etc). We d highly suggest that potential adopters take the time to read through the document since it really explains a lot about Oboe s background and experiences. He is originally a California Boy Oboe weighs approximately 70 lbs. He has already been neutered and he is housebroken. We would recommend that he be placed in a home with an experienced handler (and would have no contact with cats or children). Oboe is a GREAT dog for the right home.
