Beeker is a bit more outgoing than his best friend Beckman. These two came from a home with too many rats but were petted everyday...which helped to keep them friendly. As you can see they are both young so their new family needs to make sure they are committed to keeping them for several years. We recommend a cage at least as big as the one they are in now or bigger. Make sure it s not near drafts or direct sunlight.Beeker and Beckman are going to make a great addition to the family that adopts them. Rats on average live to be 3 years of age if properly cared for. Providing them with a variety of hiding and climbing structures and fun things to chew on will keep them busy in their cage between play sessions (toys like these cereal boxes small boxes). And changing them regularly keeps their cage interesting and helps with mental stimulation. Make sure when you have them out for socializing that they can t run and hide. Keep in mind that rats can squeeze into holes that are only the width of a quarter If you aren t sure that rats are the best fit for your family do some research first.
