Jasper is a sweet 12-year old male Labrador Retriever Shepherd mix who was surrendered by his family on July 22 2015 because they could no longer care for him. This handsome older gentleman has a sleek black short smooth coat a long fluffy tail and a darling face with expressive brown eyes. Jasper has been in foster care for the past eight months and he melted our hearts as he looked up with hope and adoration at his foster mom through his big brown eyes when she brought him back for updated photos on March 8 2016 ) Jasper usually holds his ears erect but does occasionally relax them. This magnificent guy has a calm quiet disposition and a lovable easygoing personality. Jasper gets along well with everyone He loves his people friends (including children) does well with both large- and smaller dogs and he tends to be apprehensive about cats and tries his best to ignore them. His foster mother told us that Jasper has been the perfect houseguest. He is already neutered housetrained and walks well on a leash. Jasper has a lively bounce to his steps and plays with the foster family s other dogs (and loves the snow ). Jasper currently weighs 66.6 lbs. His foster family dearly loves him but he really needs a permanent home with his very own family.
