Cute Wanda was brought here because her family didn t have time for her. Overall we have found her very sweet enjoys being petted tolerates being held for short periods of time and is easy to pick-up if you are CONFIDENT when doing so. She can be a bit shy and sometimes just prefers to being by herself..her new family will need to respect that. We suggest a calm quiet home and a family with older children. Wanda will need a yearly vet exam and nail trimming about every 4-6 months.Unfortunately we don t have a lot of information about Wanda from her previous home. In our Rabbit Romper Room Wanda has been active and has been able to handle all of the shelter noises stimulus. She hasn t really played with toys but should still be offered them and definitely rabbit appropriate chewing items.All rabbits need time outside of their enclosure to burn off energy and to kick up their feet A long hallway or a room they haven t been in before will do the trick. Getting out of their enclosure for 2-3 hours a day is critical. Not only does it help with boredom but it helps with moving their food through their delicate system.She should eat unlimited amounts of Alfalfa hay until the end of August. Then transition to Timothy Oat and or Orchard Grass hay 2-3 tablespoons of pellets (no dried fruit or nut mixes) a small handful of veggies and an occasional piece of fruit as a treat.
