Baby and Peanut - Male Parakeet - Quaker

Hello there Our names are Baby and Peanut and we are a bonded pair of Quaker Parrots We must be adopted together. We are both pretty quiet as parrots go. I m Baby and I have lots of things that I say while my friend Peanut doesn t talk. Hi Baby Hello Baby Want some food Quaker Thank you Come on and Come here are just a few of the things I can say. My foster mom says she is sure I can say a lot more than that We are both very active and inquisitive and we like to stick together unless it is time to eat then it is every bird for himself We are both very protective of each other and our home so we do better with people outside our cage. I don t like to step up at all but Peanut will if I m not around. I like to get my head scratched but only if Peanut is not around. We are a bit nippy right now but our foster Mom is working with us on our trust issues and that eventually we won t mind hands and will step up easily. Right now we prefer a house without children or other pets but my foster mom says this may change too. I think she has a lot of plans for us We love our fresh vegetables (mom calls it chop) and we love seeds for treats and training (remember that seeds are for this purpose only and no sunflower seeds ). We are trying Zupreem Fruit blend and we like the yellow banana ones a lot We love apples and grapes and we are trying new foods every week.We also love to get misted to keep our feathers clean. We will be sure to put on our best behavior when you come to meet us which we hope will be very soon.
