Courtesy Listing for Private Owner Gimli (named after a Lord of the Rings character) was found as a stray. about 1 year old male about 50 lbs. (underweight) good with dogs cats and older kids Walks on leash house-training in process affectionate loves to cuddle rarely barks does have some separation anxiety protects food from other dogs but fine with people handling it.I found a stray Pit Bull hanging around my yard last week. He was very emaciated. You could see his spine and ribs. I put some food out for him and he ended up sleeping on my porch. The next night got really cold so I brought him in my basement. I have a large Rottweiler and a Husky and they were acting somewhat aggressive with the dog. The first night he just ate and slept. He was so lethargic. After the first night he didn t want to be left alone. He started crying and scratching up the basement door so I decided to let him out. He was fine with my dogs but my dogs were acting very jealous. I also have 3 cats. He was ok with them at first but my male cat tried to attack him. When that happened he fixated on the cat. I ve been calling around EVERYWHERE to find a place for him. I don t want him to be euthanized. I did take him to the vet right away. He had blood work his 1st shots and a skin test for mange. He had no health issues aside from being underweight. He can be neutered in one week. He is not fully potty trained so he needs work on that but if you put him on the leash and take him out every 3-4 hours he does really well. He s a really loving and sweet dog. He s very affectionate. He loves to cuddle on the couch. He rarely barks. He s just a sweetheart. The things he needs work on are food guarding separation anxiety house training and getting along with cats. He hasn t been around any children yet. He needs a home that doesn t have cats or small children. He s a year old all black with white on his chest around 50 pounds but will probably gain another 10-15.
