River - Female Pigeon

River was rescued from a Walgreen s parking lot in Berkeley. She seemingly had been hit by a car. She lost her right ankle and foot but is disable more profoundly than would be expected from her injuries. She is extremely fearful both of pigeons and people (even after months of recuperation in a safe and nonthreatening environment). She can t hop (as one would expect her to be able to do) and when she tries to move at all wing-walks. She no longer flies. We are working with her to try and help ease her fears build her confidence and help her heal.
