Hopi is one of the November Rescue Miracle mares (Mare 11). She arrived in late March 2012 with a yearling colt Turner at her side. Hopi was extremely fearful of humans unapproachable and extremely sensitive and reactive. She had little to no handling and likely a bad human experience. She arrived with a skin condition around her eyes and due to her extreme reactiveness evaluation has been a slow process.Hopi has been working with a trainer (Mike V.) off and on for the last year and then some and she is making slow steady progress. She will stay on with Mike and continue training until her person comes along at least for now. Hopi will require an advanced handler with substantial experience training from the ground up and Mike offered to work with her and prospective adopter to ensure a successful future.
