Blue is an eleven month old special needs Pitbull Terrier. When she was 6 mons old she suddenly became paralyzed and unfortunately her owners could no longer care for her. She arrived at Heath s Haven Rescue when she was 10 mons old and was evaluated by the neurological specialists at the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Unfortunately too much time had passed from the time of her injury to the time of the evaluation and surgery was not an option for her. Blue gets around good in her wheelchair and is an active girl that loves to go for walks Her wheelchair will go with her to her forever home She is looking for a home that can express her bladder three times per day as she is incontinent (has no control over bladder and bowels). This is really easy to learn how to do and she knows to hold still while you do it Blue loves to be with her people and is a social butterfly Blue does well with other dogs is curious about cats and does well with kids....
